Although the lightbulb is a cliche term, it seems the best to depict the moment when ideas come together. As educators, our true challenge is to get to the light bulb for each learning experience. Some classroom teachers learn to accept this daunting challenge by using expressions about feeling successful if they can reach at least one kid per year.
That is why people choose private lessons. You want your child to learn on their own terms. Mr. Gelston’s One Room Schoolhouse is dedicated to private and very small group lessons so that we have the time to make the connections necessary to flip the light on, correct communication is important. In addition to private math education, Mr. Gelston now offers Private Learning Coach services, Private Computer Science Lessons, and a very small group Current Events & History course and slp jobs.
Barry has been able to engage our son in ways we could not. He is patient and kind. He embraces our son’s interests and has really gotten to know him as a person. He allows our son to come to the answers on his own, rather than pushing him through a specific topic.
